Prices
We enjoyed a fantastic 2010-11 winter season at the Staffler. The majority of dates were completely full - the number of guests staying with us reflecting the very real efforts we make to offer the best food and service we can and a great atmosphere to boot!
We never forget that our guests, old and new have many choices of country, resort and hotel - we continue to strive to improve what we offer and this season is no exception.
Staffler prices continue to represent excellent value for money and are shown in euros per person.
We're not Saturday to Saturday specific which means guests are free to arrive and depart on any day of the week, subject to availability. This offers real convenience and flexibility for our guests in terms of their length of stay, opportunities to secure the cheapest flights, travel by car and stay for a longer holiday or a weekend break.
Next season we open for business on Friday 9th December. We close after the Easter Holidays on Sunday April 15th 2012.
Accommodation at the Staffler includes a continental breakfast each morning and three course evening meal seven days a week, including a vegetarian option - unlike many other hotels we do not have a non service day. A cooked breakfast is available for an additional charge. We have a number of room options including twins and doubles, rooms sleeping up to four people and two inter-connecting family rooms. Some rooms have balconies overlooking the slopes and all are en-suite.
Prices are based on a simple formula and probably the best value for money in the Alps. All dates, all weeks, all rooms, half board at just 300 per week (adults), 250 for children (under 12 on the day of arrival) with infants under 2 travelling free. Christmas and New Year and Half Term incur a 25 per person supplement. Remember prices are per week, per person and include a buffet breakfast and three course evening meal.
Our popular 'two for one' offer continues this winter starting on the first day of the season and continuing until Christmas Eve - most of Christmas week is therefore included! The same offer starts again on March 17th and continues until the end of the season - Easter week included!
Return transfers from Munich, Salzburg and Innsbruck cost just 80, 70 and 60 respectively per person. Transfers from Memmingen (west of Munich) are 90. Transfer costs are based on groups of three or more - four people with respect to Memmingen. For individuals prices above should be doubled and for couples by 50%
Equipment hire - ski's or boards and boots can be organised on arrival at the Staffler (apart from high season dates). We have a close working relationship with Sport Blackfelder, close to the hotel. Staffler guests are entitled to a discount on the public prices and in the ski shop above. A range of equipment is available with six day ski hire starting at about 55 and boots from 25. Children between 7 and 12 years old earn a considerable discount and those under six years old pay just 50% of the adult prices. Family discounts are also available. Those staffler guests staying for seven days only pay for six days hire.
Ski School Active is our preferred ski school in Niederau. Group and private lessons available. Austrian ski school usually starts on Sunday or Monday and continues through and includes Fridays. Group lessons are morning and afternoon and ski school races are normally held on Thursday mornings (booked separately) for adults and children). Lessons can be organised on arrival (apart from high season dates). Group lessons for the week cost about 170 per person. Private lessons cost 50 per hour - up to two people included in this price.
This season we are aiming to have our own ski instructors working directly for Ski School Activ but responsible exclusively for Staffler guests. These instructors will be available to take children to the slopes each morning, oversee their meals at lunchtime if required and to bring them back to the Staffler after school in the afternoon. This service will be available to guests at an additional charge and must be pre booked.
ELITE SNOWSPORTS - offer an alternative to normal ski school. Those Staffler guests children who are able to ski red runs in parallel and at speed and are comfortable on blacks are again welcome to join our Elite training program. The five day program involves technical race training, moguls and off-piste - jumps and bumps and extensive free skiing - much at speed. The program is very popular. We charge 400 per person.
